Susanne Sutera (*1967) worked for many years in the fashion industry and as a head designer.

In 2022, she decided to devote herself entirely to her passion and talent and set up her own business as a freelance artist.

She has always been fascinated by paintings from the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo periods due to their symbolism and increasingly critical attitude towards the church and authorities.

You can sense in them the new beginning, the change of epoch.

Even today, we live in a time of change and great upheaval.

In her paintings, Susanne Sutera transposes the symbolism and power of the old paintings as well as their composition, colors and depth into the modern age.

By dissolving the motifs, concentrating on the essential, by exaggeration but also with new color schemes, the pictures become modern and contemporary.

Susanne Sutera lives and works in Tübingen and Constance.
